Advancing Workplace Savings Initiatives

Hosted by the Four State Savings Partnership and the

Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond,

July 15, 2011 – 9:30 am – 2:00pm

The workshop is free for registered guests.

 

Who should attend?

Employers, municipalities, nonprofit organizations and educational institutions interested in advancing workplace savings programs to help Virginia's working families build economic security.

 

What you will learn: 

Are Virginia’s families prepared for financial emergencies?

Why is it important to promote savings in the workplace?

What actions are other employers taking to help working families save?

What resources are available to help employers begin or expand workplace savings programs?

 

Speakers include: 

Jane Henderson, President, Virginia Community Capital

Rebecca Tippett, Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service

Reid Cramer, New America Foundation

Senator Mark Warner, invited, and

Representatives from the Four State Savings Partnership

 

Facilities/Lunch: 

Important Note:  All visitors must present a picture ID to Security prior to entering the building.  All persons entering the building are subject to metal detection.

Registration opens at 9:30 am and the workshop begins at 10:00.  Lunch will be provided.

Parking information:

Make first left into lot for Federal Reserve Bank parking deck and then make an immediate left to enter the parking deck.  After parking car on level P6, take elevator or stairs down to level P1 and exit. (Note: elevator is located in the southeast corner of the parking deck and is accessible from levels P1-P5 only). 

The Federal Reserve main entrance is located on Byrd Street between 7th Street and 9th Street.  After exiting the parking deck walk up 7th Street toward Byrd Street. At the intersection, turn right onto Byrd street and you will see the front of the building.  Keep walking until you reach the second gate to be checked in by Law Enforcement.  At this point, Bank staff will be positioned to assist you with screening and escorting you to your destination.
